Lithuania Background Seire Cognitive path is a best example of ecological education.
What makes this a good example:? Natural values of nature reserve and other valuable habitats of National Park. How did the place/facility get established? Zemaitija national park Direction initiative seeking to implement the main tasks of the complex protected areas as is National Park per se including ecological education and conservation of the natural values.
Who are/were involved in this? State institutions, NGO (ecological clubs etc.), scientifical, educative institutions.

Description Seire nature path is close to the Plateliai lake in the Seire landscape reserve. Walking along 4.1 kilometres path people can observed diversity of forest vegetation, fungus and wild animals specific to the certain locality. The path lead to Gaudupis marsh. People pass various forest stands, nesting places of birds, nesting-boxes of bats, ant-hills. The approach to the history and ethnography is accessible observing the Piktezeris guarded by a wooden devil. The way back inducts the peculiarities of the coast of the lake.
